WorldCon book haul

I swear I’m still unpacking from Texas…

I came back from WorldCon with a smaller book haul than usual, mostly because my suitcase already weighed a tonne going over and I didn’t much feel like carting a whole library back with me. As it was, this small but perfectly formed pile was bad enough to pack.

The Ace Double was the only one I actually paid hard cash for at the con – I have a few of these already and I love their pulpy goodness (yes, I have actually read the ones I have). There are also hundreds of the damn things, so they make a nice little convention collectable if I see them on a sales table.

I’m not 100% sure why this guy looks like Alan Scott, the original Green Lantern, but… there you go.

Murder is Binding was picked up from a nearby Barnes and Noble (I say “nearby”, but one thing that seemed to characterise San Antonio was a total lack of bookstores, necessitating a trip out to a mall). My wife and I are fans of cosy mysteries, and having read this one, she’s already up to book three in the series. I can’t wait to get stuck in!
