Questions on the Empire State Worldbuilder project

Another round-up of Empire State and Worldbuilder news:

  • Over at Vast and Cool and Unsympathetic – surely the best-named blog ever – they’re excited about the Worldbuilder
  • Likewise Alex Livingston.
  • A wee discussion of the Worldbuilder at FantasyFaction
  • The Worldbuilder made it to Publisher Weekly’s Genreville blog as one of the two big bits of publisher news coming out of WorldCon (with Mur stepping in in the comments to clarify a point or two)
  • The Speculative Scotsman says some very nice things about Empire State – I’ve already pointed out to Niall that I’ve always been a writer and never a blogger, but hey, I’m not going to quibble with comments like his!

There’s also a few more snippets of information over at Angry Robot, if you check the comments section of the announcement. Obviously nothing more than the WorldCon announcement is officially public yet – and of course Empire State isn’t even out for a few more months – but we’ll be clarifying a few things over the next couple of weeks.

In the meantime, I’m happy to answer any questions people have about the project, so feel free to post a comment here or to drop me a line.

Quick question – are you planning what amounts to a series bible or wiki for Empire State, Adam?

    Hi Mark,

Yes, there will be a series of foundation documents available for contributors. The best series bible is, of course, the book itself!
