EMPIRE STATE in the Financial Times best books of 2012 so far

I would have included this in my roundup yesterday, but it came in too late, and besides, it is probably worthy of its own post.

Back in January, the Financial Times gave Empire State a glowing review, which you can read here.

Now, Empire State has been included in their list of the best books of 2012 so far, in which they say:

A barnstorming debut, uncommonly assured and unflinchingly ambitious. Blending noir fiction, golden age comic books, alternate realities, robots and a sincere love for the grandiosity and mythology of New York, Christopher creates an adventure that’s like a lot of things you may have read and at the same time unique.

As a friend of mine pointed out on Twitter, there are some proper writers in their list! To be counted alongside them is an honour.
